Please join us in giving a huge THANK YOU to the women who organize the backpack program. Their work is appreciated beyond words! Check out the photo showcasing some of the things they put together.
& For those of you with students who attend W.F. Morrison Elementary, can you help us out? Our lost & found section keeps expanding! Do you recognize any of these items?

ATTN: We are hiring for a substitute position!

Good morning!
In just under three weeks, the Scholastic Book Fair will be set up at W.F. Morrison Elementary for students in grades K-6. While the online version of the Book Fair will open earlier on 10/27 (with free direct-to-home shipping on purchases over $25.00), those wishing to shop in-person can do so starting Monday, 10/30. For more information, head to this webpage: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/wfmorrisonschool
& Do you want to know the neat thing? ALL Book Fair purchases go towards earning money for our school!

Good morning!
This evening, coinciding with Parent/Teacher Conferences, Mike Lincoln from Reach Higher Montana will be here offering students the chance to win a $500.00 scholarship. However, students must be present to be eligible.
We hope to see you there!

REMINDER: Starting tomorrow, 10/11, and ending on Friday, 10/13, students at W.F. Morrison Elementary will have access to the traveling dental hygienists of Smiles Across Montana. However, only students with completed permission forms may participate; permission forms can be picked up in the office.
While Max, Easton, & Danny from Miss. Mel's transitional kindergarten class were all smiles yesterday while learning about fire prevention, we like to think they were also excited thinking about Smiles Across Montana!

TONIGHT: There will be a school meeting from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

REMINDER: Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for Troy High School.
*W.F. Morrison Elementary will host Parent/Teacher Conferences on Friday, November 3rd, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
TONIGHT: The Troy football team goes against Arlee from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM for the official 2023 Pizza Bowl!
What does that mean? If Troy wins, Jenna Corcoran will buy the team pizza from Trojan Lanes. If Arlee wins, Eric Storkson will buy the team pizza from Stageline Pizza.
Join us tonight in Arlee to see who wins in real time!

Check out some of the amazing work done today with sight words by a few of the kindergarteners in Miss.Grose's class. We think Aliyah, Katya, Josie, & Jaxson did a great job! Who knew learning could be so much fun?
Thank you for all you do, Miss.Grose!

REMINDER: Tomorrow, 10/5, will be Picture (Re-take) Day for both W.F. Morrison Elementary & Troy High School.

TONIGHT - The junior high girls volleyball team will start their first game @ Plains at 4:30PM. We hope to see you there!

Introducing the first WEEKLY parent & guardian newsletter for Troy School District's Junior & Senior High School. Included you will find information about upcoming events, important deadlines, & our 'Trojan of the Week.'
This newsletter is meant to act as a guide for parents/guardians who want to encourage their students in daily & future endeavors, but are not necessarily sure where to start or are unaware of educational events happening within the District.
Ultimately, we want to help YOU help your student, & we want feedback on how to do that! While this is the first 'Parent & Guardian Newsletter,' it is a work in progress that we want you to help mold. In the comments, as a message, or even by email [osmurkowski@troyk12.org], let us know what you would like to see in future newsletters!
& As always, thank you for your continued support!

Who's excited?

ATTN: Tomorrow evening's showing of the movie 'The Game Plan' will be postponed to a later date that is TBD. We will update everyone once a new date has been finalized.
Thanks!

For those wondering where to snag the best seat for a glimpse of the parade tomorrow, check out the photo & pick your spots!
& Don't forget, the parade begins @ 4:30 PM!

Please help us in extending a HUGE thank you to the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, as their continued support of our district & students is appreciated beyond words. We are fortunate that our community reaches beyond the limits of our school district & we could not be more grateful.
Thank you again, Kootenai Tribe of Idaho!

Good morning! Today, on the last day of school for students this week, we have a busy schedule planned.
At W.F. Morrison Elementary, the 2nd graders will be taking a trip to Libby Dam & we can't wait to hear about their experience! Over at the high school around lunch time, students will be decorating their floats for the parade, & after, there will be a pep rally to close out the school day & pump everyone up for the exciting events to come in the next 48 + hours.
After school, both the junior high & high school volleyball teams have a game against Thompson Falls. The junior high volleyball game will begin at 4:00 PM @ Thompson Falls, & the high school volleyball game will begin at 4:30 PM @ the Troy Activity Center. Don't forget to wish the teams good luck!
& Finally, there is a new adult education class being added in November titled 'Introduction to Real Estate.' For more information & to sign up, contact Adult Ed. Coordinator Bradley Dunn-meier at adulted@troyk12.org.

Something important to remember as the homecoming dance quickly approaches.
